The trucks beginning was a humble one and used on a farm. Around 1985 it was stored in a barn for 12 years until 1997 when it was handed down to the grandson who did a little work on it. When I purchased the Truck in 1999 I began a complete frame off restoration.

By 2005 most of the truck was put back together and I began to run into a number of issues to get five lug wheels to work which lead me down an expensive road, one thing led to another. This brought me into a Ford 9" rear-end and a 4 link suspension. The front wheels changed to 5 lug disk brakes which only come in a Chevy bolt diameter. These were sent to Chicago to have the Ford lug diameter drilled.

Thanks go out to the following companies and people who helped make this project a reality...

  • Rebuilt 350 engine and transmission installed; interior structure and design, cut down Honda seats to fit back into the gas tank area; body work, painting and body assembly by Steve Nyhof.
  • Most of the after marked parts were provided by Classic Parts of America formally known as Chevy Duty, and Classic Performance Products.
  • The Ford 9 inch rearend, 4 link suspension system and power break kit was provided by the
    Rod Factory.
  • The TQ wheels came from Stockton Wheel out of California, the rear wheels where cut and widened 4 inches to accommodate the 14 inch Hoosier tires.
  • The wiring provided by EZ Wiring was installed by Paul from DashMaster Automotive. Paul also helped install the rearend and 4 link system among tuning the motor and a multitude of other things.
  • The interior upholstery was custom made by Marco Auto Trim of Holland.

  • Thank you Jon, I spent about $20k and about 6 years putting it together. As you can see by the photos, I took everything apart. A truck is a great project. Get on the forums and you will get help. Good for you to take this on, but take your time and do it right.
